Broadspring is a privately held corporation, headquartered in Irvine, Ca. As of early 2015, the Company employs approximately 30 people in California as well as in Washington and New Jersey.
Broadspring commenced operations in 2004. Initially, it purchased certain assets of a company called Mindset Interactive. Mindset was involved in the distribution of adware products on behalf of advertising technology and network firms, facilitated through a large network of third party web sites. Broadspring decided to exit this business shortly after purchasing Mindset’s assets and the division was completely closed down by early 2005.
Broadspring also, for a short period of time in 2005, operated a ringtone marketing business. The shareholders of Broadspring made the decision to spin off this division into a separate business, and this occurred in 2005 after which Broadspring had no involvement in the ringtone or mobile marketing business.
In 2006, Broadspring established its product division. The company secured exclusive online rights to sell certain high quality health and beauty products including a multi-vitamin product from SuperFoodsRx and the skin care line of Cheryl Tiegs. Broadspring existed this product business in 2008.
In 2008, Broadspring entered the content marketing arena. Utilizing its knowledge of online marketing, it created the advertorial web site HowLifeWorks.com. Broadspring’s writers create sponsored articles for a wide variety of product and service advertisers which it hosts on HowLifeWorks.com and other company-owned web sites. These sponsored articles generate large volumes of high-converting traffic for Broadspring’s advertising customers. To date Broadspring’s sponsored advertorials have been read well over 100 million times by consumers, resulting in millions of transactions for advertisers.
In 2012, Broadspring launched Content.ad, a fixed placement sponsored content advertising network. This network generates in excess of 500 million daily ad impressions across many thousands of partner web sites.
